Our special offering for February is the ELCA World Hunger offering. Envelopes can be found in the pew
racks. Place envelopes in the offering plate.
Bad Weather: If there is bad weather, check the homepage of the website and Channel 69, or call a
council member to see if church is canceled. If you wish to help with snow removal, call Raymond Lorish,
LeRoy Leibensperger or Jimmy Meitzler, Sr. the night before to make arrangements when to gather.
Bring your own shovel.
Mid-week Lenten services will be held, beginning February 24th, alternating between Huff's and St.
Peter's Union Churches. A simple meal is served at 6:00 p.m. (free will donation) followed by worship
at 7:00 p.m. The first evening will be February 24 at Huff's. Please contact Joyce Kemp if you can donate
a food item, help with cooking and serving, or wish to bring a dessert.
The A-Choir from Upper Perkiomen High School will be with us in worship on Sunday, February 28 at the
10:30 service. Please see Ruth Leibensperger if you can bring or serve a snack.
March 7 (snow date March 14) we will once again be doing a meal for the men at Allentown Rescue
Mission. There is a sheet posted on the lower Narthex bulletin board of food needed. If you can help,
please sign your name with what you can bring. Thank you.
The Youth Group invites anyone interested to join them in their trip to the Boyertown Museum of Historic
Vehicles on March 7 (snow date March 28). Bring a sack lunch and eat in the chapel, then leave for the
museum.
There are Annual Reports on the bulletin table at the back of church.
Lenten coin folders are available on the bulletin table. If you choose this Lenten practice, please bring
them in by April 18, 2010.
The 250th Anniversary Committee is still selling ornaments to commemorate our milestone. Each
ornament costs $10 and includes an acrylic stand. They are available for purchase at the Third Sunday
fellowship hour or anytime by contacting Julie Brought, Tess Woloszanski, Gloria Adams or Carl Arner.
Please pick up a time & talent worksheet to update how you wish to help us at Huff's. Please return them
with your offering by Easter.
The new Flower and Bulletin charts for 2010 are posted. Cost for sponsorship of flowers is $28 and for
bulletins $16.
FAIR TRADE COFFEE AND TEA is still available next to the library on the first floor. A box will be available
where you can deposit the right amount of money. Until the box is in place, you can use an envelope and
place your money in the offering plate. These items make a great Christmas gift and you will be helping
provide growers in third world countries get a fair price for their products. If you have any questions or
requests, please contact Jane Leeser.
